Best way to get rid of a cold without staying off school?

I really want to get rid of this cold quicky, possibly in a week and i dont know how. I dont want to stay off school, because im going on holiday next week and already having time off otherwise the percentage of my attendance will decrease. I also like this boy and i think his going to kiss me/makeout.
