Needs Help With Baby Birds?

My grandfather recently passed away, and my grandmother was out in her shed trying to go through things and seeing what she could use and what she couldn't. She stumbled upon a cricket holder and without truly looking at it or in it she quicky placed it in a pile of things that she could get rid of. As she was loading the pile in her pickup to be taken off, she noticed that it had a nest full of small baby birds in it, with only a little bit of feathers on their wings. She quickly put them back to where they had been, but that has been hours ago and we haven't noticed a bird come around there. What should we do? We don't have any local place that we can take them (we live in a very small town) so what should we do?
